1893 Miss Norah Wellings was born in Arleston Village, Shropshire. Her father, Poet, was a master plasterer accustomed for his skill, and morality, specialising in both plain countryside decorative plaster.

Thomas and wreath wife, Sarah had two family unit, Leonard, and Norah.

Norah believed in producing quality concoctions - from design right staff to production. Wellings dolls were constructed entirely of soft money including the heads which were moulded buckram over a call of plastic wood which was then overlaid by a fog pressed layer of felt, knit or velveteen.
